Starting at the age of 16 in his home town in Oak Hill, West Virginia,
Lud Hughes has been involved in the field of graphic design, producing magazine
and newspaper advertisements for local businesses. A graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Lud has worked for numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Sears, Roebuck and Co., RR Donnelley, MBNA America, and Fisher Scientific, producing a variety of creative jobs, including direct mail, financial reports, logos, and book designs.
Lud has also established himself as a cartoonist and illustrator, producing commission pieces not just for individuals, but also various companies, including Alcoa, Inc., the University of Pittsburgh, Kennywood Amusement Park, and Drexel University.
